(US and Canada) General Motors, the American multinational automotive manufacturing company, recently announced Jon Francis as its Chief Data and Analytics Officer. He will join the company’s Strategy and Innovation team in mid-August, reporting to Alan Wexler, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Innovation.

“Jon brings to GM more than 25 years of experience in driving data science and research across a breadth of industries including retail, restaurant, telecommunications, software, travel, and health care,” Wexler said. “Unlocking the possibilities of the connected vehicle data generated by connecting with our customers will continue to play a critical role in GM achieving our vision of a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion.”

Before General Motors, Francis was the Industry Advisor at Squark. He is a seasoned analytic executive across various verticals who previously held leadership positions at Paypal, Starbucks, and Nike.
