(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Dimple Thakkar to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Thakkar has been a leader in the innovation, data, and product arena within financial services for the past 24 years and currently serves as the Head of Data for Machine Learning and Intelligence Operations (MLIO) within CCB (Consumer & Community Banking).

In her role, Thakkar is instrumental in heading data strategy for Machine Learning and AI business and leading a team to drive data governance, lineage, and data usage across over 10,000 data sets. She leads the data movement patterns across various lines of businesses as the organization ingests real-time digital data for innovation.

Prior to her current role, Thakkar led a global team within CCB Digital Engineering for customer communications across various channels and helped form and lead four different teams across North America (NA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC).

Before joining JP Morgan Chase & Co., Thakkar was the Chief Technology and Data Officer for Digital Solutions at CUNA Mutual Group. She has also held senior data and technology roles at organizations like Northern Trust, BMO Harris, and First Republic Bank in the past.

Thakkar is based in Chicago and she loves to pencil sketch, build with LEGOs, and explore robotics with her son. She also spends time writing articles about AI and ML in the finance and fintech space.
