Cecilia Dones, Moët Hennessy Head of Data Sciences

(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Cecilia Dones to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Dones is Head, Data Sciences at Moët Hennessy. She is a data and marketing analytics evangelist with over 15 years of experience. Her interests lie in the intersection of technology, data, and how people and organizations make decisions.

Dones has extensive experience in driving change in both large and small organizations. She is an expert in maximizing value from data by delivering quick analytical wins, operational excellence, and long-term advantage with analytical innovation. She is passionate about shaping ideas at the convergence of data and people to enable others to create value and meaning with data.

Speaking of her career, Dones began her journey with digital advertising analyzing display, search, and web analytics. Her curiosity about understanding how consumers are influenced by marketing led her to add on additional marketing channels over time, like TV, magazines, newspapers, customer relationship management, content, and e-commerce. Her curiosity also led her to spend three years in the U.K. understanding the Western European market and working on global business. She was most recently named in the 2022 Global Data Power Women list.

Dones’ most recent interests are related to the technology of wearables, the implications of ubiquitous sensors, and the effects on how people connect with each other and brands. She earned her Bachelor’s in Marketing and International Business from NYU Stern School of Business where she also minored in Psychology and East Asian Studies. She also earned her Master’s in Statistics from Columbia University. She is currently finishing her doctoral studies focused on ‘Immersive Digital Environments and its Impacts On Interpersonal Relationships and Consumer Psychology’ which is expected to be complete next year.
