(Africa) We are delighted to announce that Nollie Maoto accepted the position of Country CDO Ambassador for South Africa, as part of our global partnership representing the MIT CDOIQ, the International Society of Chief Data Officers, Institute for Chief Data Officers, and CDO Magazine.

Maoto is the Chief Data and Analytics Officer of FNB South Africa. Currently, she is leading the company’s data analytics and pricing functions within FNB Merchant Services.

Maoto is a proven leader in executing a data analytics strategy and creating and delivering business intelligence and analytics solutions. She is a highly analytical thinker with experience in leading teams while driving better performance and results for stakeholders. She joined her current organization as Executive Head: Business Intelligence in February 2019.

Maoto is the Interim CEO of Strategic African Women in Leadership (SAWIL). She is also a member of the CDO Magazine Editorial Board. Before FNB South Africa, she was with Uyandiswa as the Head of Data Business and Analytics.

As a renowned leader in data, Maoto is an Inspiring Fifty SA 2021 nominee as one of the 50 most inspiring women in the STEM sectors in South Africa. She is also one of the 2022 Corinium Global Top 100 Leaders in Data & Analytics. Maoto is a finalist for the inaugural Data Leaders Exchange – Data Analytics Leader of the Year awards 2022 on July 5 in South Africa and has made the Global Data Power Women List 2022.
