(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Cal Rosen to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Rosen is the Chief Data Officer at SGI CANADA and is based in Toronto, Ontario. He is currently leading SGI’s data and analytics transformation program (consisting of 3 workstreams and 23 interrelated roadmap initiatives), data management framework addressing cloud-based technology components, data office roles and operational processes, and organization design.
Rosen also heads data literacy and change management, proofs-of-value, business self-serve report authoring, advanced analytics (AI/ML), data governance, and data management as well as standing up the nascent Data Office with teams addressing Data Strategy and Management, Data Platform Enablement, and Corporate Analytics & Reporting.
As a professional, Rosen began his data and analytics journey over 30 years ago. As a Management Consultant and Senior Executive, he has defined, led, and delivered numerous end-to-end large-scale data and analytics programs and systems in multiple industries across North America for approximately 40 organizations (across Communications, Retail, Banking & Insurance (P&C and Life), Energy & Utilities, Transportation, Healthcare, Natural Resources, Gaming, Public Sector, and others).
He specializes in building data and analytics programs, starting with concept ideation through implementation to adoption and action addressing multiple dimensions across people, process, and technology towards realizing data-driven business outcomes and actions.
