Best Buy Appoints Craig Brabec as SVP, Chief Data Analytics Officer

(US and Canada) Best Buy, the American multinational consumer electronics retailer, has appointed Craig Brabec as its SVP, Chief Data Analytics Officer.

Brabec is an experienced leader with more than 25 years of working in corporate strategy and data analytics, manufacturing, construction, health care, supply chain, and management consulting.

In his new role, Brabec will infuse data use for value across the global enterprise. He will lead enterprise transformation, establish a best-in-class data strategy with advanced analytics, and evangelize these changes throughout Best Buy.

Brabec is an accomplished executive with multiple awards and distinctions, including Top Influencer as CDO, Data Innovator of the Year, and International Institute of Analytics Project of the Year. He also serves on professional councils focused on advanced analytics and digital transformation. Brabec is also an advocate and mentor for the advancement of STEM programs across the globe, including USFIRST Robotics. 

Brabec is an adjunct instructor at the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. He previously advised other colleges and universities on data analytics curriculums.
