(Oceania) QBE Insurance, one of the world’s top 20 general insurance and reinsurance companies, has appointed Christopher Bannocks as Group Chief Data Officer.

Before joining QBE Insurance, Bannocks was the SVP – Chief Data Officer of Danone. There Bannocks has consistently demonstrated strong leadership and program delivery skills, having joined the company with a brief to create the Chief Data Office, and Data and Analytics Organization. He went on to deliver a highly successful data transformation programme, creating a more solid foundation for sustainable growth, and securing immediate acceleration.

Bannocks is a highly experienced Data, Operations and Technology Transformation and Strategic Planning Executive, with more than 20  years’ leadership experience gained working across international markets. He successfully marshaled change management initiatives, engaging all organizational levels in change programs, and helping make commercial ambition a practical reality.
