The Department of Commerce Names Oliver Wise as Chief Data Officer

(US and Canada) The Department of Commerce has appointed Oliver Wise as chief data officer(CDO).
Wise was formerly director of recovery solutions at New Orleans-based software company Tyler Technologies. Earlier in his career, he was director of the Office of Performance and Accountability for the City of New Orleans, and prior to that held the post of policy director for the city.
Announcing his appointment he shared that he will be responsible for executing the department’s data strategy to support evidence-based decision-making processes and align information resources across the organization.
