(US and Canada) Ritesh Khire, 84.51˚ Science VP, speaks with Mark Johnson, Regional VP of Fusion Alliance and Editorial Board Member at CDO Magazine, in a video interview about using quantum computing, AI application, human-AI interaction, and optimizing technology for better outcomes.

Khire reveals that 84.51˚ is looking at using quantum computing and more nontraditional optimization in its analysis scenarios but says he wants to be careful with AI.

Mentioning the usage of various traditional optimizations — such as mixed integers, nonlinear programming software, reinforcement learning, and multi-banded approaches,— Khire stresses the need to understand the purpose. He says that technology is there to serve humans and, in a business, optimization is for multiple things.

He also highlights facilitating human-machine interaction where humans can do what they’re best at — providing strategy evaluation. Accordingly, AI is better at crunching numbers and coming up with an optimal outcome quickly, Khire adds.

Khire explains that end-to-end AI optimization involves a lot of aspects, from data cleanup, AI, predictive models, and forecasting to optimization, visualization, multiobjective, and the human-machine interface.

He notes that optimization would be much easier without resource, labor, budgets, price, and promotion constraints. All of these layers go into making the best possible decision from all facets, Khire adds.

According to Khire, the 84.51˚ tests show that it is possible to be financially healthy while serving more customers and reach more customers while doing the right thing.

CDO Magazine appreciates Ritesh Khire for sharing his insights and data success stories with our global community.
