WVU Medicine, CIO: Changes and Challenges in the Health Care System

Jim Venturella, CIO at WVU Medicine together with Andy Sajous, Field CTO – Central Region at AHEAD shares the significant shifts and challenges they had with the health care systems. Venturella explains that the biggest expansion they had was with telemedicine. It was a challenge for many people to get trained, have technology deployed and meet the required demand for numerous data needs and analytics. Leveraging with the supply chain, deployment of COVID-19 testing tents and parking lots, carrying out the vaccination, and fulfilling the different report requirements of the state and the federal government is the major challenges they had last year.
