Local Firm Delivers Java and .NET Software Developers in a Non-Traditional Way

MAX Technical Training is working to enlarge this talent pool. In 2012, Denise Bartick, president and CEO of MAX, developed Cincinnati’s first full-stack developer bootcamp to help. Since then, she has branded the program, Cincy Code IT and now regularly graduates full-stack Java and .NET developers from her bootcamps.

Karen Chamberlain, CIO for Western & Southern Financial Group, explains it this way. “Within Cincinnati alone, we have over 1,000 jobs that are open and companies are vying for the same people. MAX Technical Training’s Cincy Code IT bootcamp gives us an alternative source for hiring. These bootcampers bring a very focused set of skills and level of maturity from their previous work experience that we appreciate. In addition, they are looking for a company where they can have a stable career. We need people like that.”

Chris Barnes, recently hired by Western & Southern says, “The bootcamp instructor prepared us well. We didn’t just learn how to code. We learned the proper thought process for building new code.” Barnes explains why he chose Cincy Code IT. “I liked that their pre-enrollment was not focused on whether or not I could pay, but on how well the bootcamp fit me, my goals and my abilities.”

Cincy Code IT bootcamp graduates are now working at more than 35 different companies, including Kroger, GE Digital, Great American, Paycor, and Pomeroy. These graduates are passionate about their new careers and about Cincy Code IT for equipping them.”

Lakshmi K. Nair, Java Developer, DUBTEL Consulting: “Cincy Code IT is the best decision I made. I gained not only the technical skills, but the soft skills too.”

Tom Arend, Application Support Analyst, Atlas Air: “Not only do you gain technical knowledge, you get instructors who are fantastic, knowledgeable and passionate about teaching. I can’t praise this bootcamp enough.”

Sara Wille, software developer, Health Carousel: “The experience I gained in this bootcamp helped me launch my career faster than I could have with a self-taught education alone.”

Today, Cincy Code IT delivers full-stack Java and .NET bootcamps regularly and is always welcoming new employers to their employer network.
