ATCinco de Mayo Celebration

ATCinco de Mayo Celebration

On a warm afternoon, Thursday, May 2nd, Advanced Technology Consulting (ATC) hosted the fourth annual ATCinco de Mayo celebration in the parking lot of their West Chester-based office.

Louie Hollmeyer, director of marketing, said the celebration started in 2016, when ATC moved into its new location on Union Centre Boulevard and was eager to host an open house. ATC decided that, in lieu of a typical open house, they would commemorate the occasion with a festive “ATCinco de Mayo” celebration. The fiesta was a resounding success, leading ATC to make it an annual tradition.

The fun and engaging celebration has grown steadily, with 2019 marking the largest turn-out to date. Many top IT companies – including Masergy, CBTS, Cogent, TalkDesk, Mitel, PGi, and Spectrum – served as partners for the event. Several guests flew in from other parts of the country specifically to attend the 2019 festivities. One prominent guest said, “that was the best event I’ve been to thus far since I’ve been in Cincinnati. It had the right amount of space, drinks, and good food, and the music wasn’t too loud. I just have to say, ‘amazing job!’”

Over the course of three hours, more than 150 people drank margaritas, ate, relaxed, and enjoyed each other’s company. The atmosphere was vibrant, festive, and whimsical. Colorful banners, some shouting FIESTA!, adorned the walls. Pitchers of margaritas and sound speakers donned charming sombreros. The table settings included green and red beads, bottles of Tabasco, and colorful hand-woven tablecloths. The bold and flavorful menu, which featured zesty shrimp appetizers, colorful tortilla chips, and a fully-loaded taco bar, came courtesy of Funky’s Catering. Upbeat, Latin-inspired music had guests tapping their toes and shimmying their hips as they engaged in conversation.

Inside the ATC building, a green screen photobooth was set up, where guests could show their quirky side with props and costumes. A blind drawing awarded five lucky folks with door prizes, and all attendees had the opportunity to grab their “chotskies” of choice.

What started as a simple open house has become one of the most popular social events within the IT community - which is why ATC continues the celebration every year. “It’s not just a Cinco de Mayo party, but also a fun, casual way to give back to the IT community and show appreciation for our clients, partners, technology providers, and friends of ATC,” says Hollmeyer.

And they do a truly amazing job.
