Ericsson Appoints Caitlin Halferty as Chief Data Officer

(US and Canada) Ericsson, a leading Information and Communication Technology (ICT) provider to service providers, has appointed Caitlin Halferty as Global Chief Data Officer. Halferty is responsible for delivering the enterprise data strategy and driving high-value data and AI initiatives across the enterprise, with a focus on transformation and expansion, including data strategy enablement in the organizational units, deployment of the execution framework and multi-cloud platform, and build-out of capabilities for the world-class data team as well as across the organization.

Halferty is a proven business leader with focused experience in data. She is passionate about building practices, communities, and high-performing teams. Halferty previously worked at International Business Machines (IBM), a multinational technology company, where she held multiple executive roles for more than 17 years. Most recently, she served as Partner, Global Finance & Data Transformation.

Halferty is a founding member of IBM's Global Chief Data Office. She launched IBM's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Accelerator practice, partnering with clients across industry and geography to accelerate their data and AI transformations. She also built the industry's longest-running C-suite Chief Data, AI, Digital, Analytics, and Technology community, a 1,300-plus-member global consortium of leading data and AI practitioners.
