BlackRock Hires Dan Merzlyak as Head of ACT Invest Data Migration Practice and Business Intelligence Lead

(US and Canada) Dan Merzlyak has joined Aladdin Client Transformations (ACT) at BlackRock as the Head of ACT Invest Data Migration Practice and Business Intelligence Lead. In his new role, he will lead the effort to launch the ACT Invest Data Migration Practice, improving BlackRock Alternatives Platform implementations to drive reduced project risk and higher customer satisfaction. Additionally, Mr. Merzlyak is focused on developing the implementation methodology to support private market business intelligence requirements. 

Mr. Merzlyak is an operations and analytics leader with over 10 years of experience managing large global teams using business intelligence to deliver deep, multi-functional, operational and strategic insights. Through the use of data mining, statistical analysis, and visualization, he has driven value for several Fortune 500 clients and private equity-owned portfolio companies in the financial services, healthcare, consumer products, direct selling, and business service provider industries.

Prior to joining BlackRock, he was the Head of Performance Reporting & Analytics at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), leading business intelligence strategy globally for the Data & Analytics division. Previously, he worked within the Commercial Private Equity Operations group at Cerberus Capital Management and as a Senior Management Consultant within the Analytics competencies at PwC and EY.

Mr. Merzlyak attended Cornell University where he received a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Economics and Statistical Sciences. He holds an MBA in Business Analytics from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
