(US and Canada) Patrick Issa-Abbas, Head - Retail Banking Data & Analytics USAA, speaks with Ravi Shankar, Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer, Denodo, about his top priorities for the next two years and the dos and don’ts for data leaders.
Issa-Abbas reveals that a key opportunity for the organization is to increase service standards for members and remain relevant to them. He adds that digitizing both the member-facing aspects and the internal processes are also among the prime focus areas for the next couple of years.
When asked about the dos and don’ts for data leaders, he urges them to remain curious. He adds that they need to stay focused on the opportunities that can create the most impact instead of getting busy doing multiple things and forgetting the one thing that would have made a massive difference. He concludes that leaders must also ensure they progress at the right pace.
