‘Open Your Heart' Valentine's Dinner to Benefit Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones supporters will enjoy a heart-warming evening at the agency’s Open Your Heart dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Eddie Merlot’s restaurant in Montgomery.

The 12th annual event, presented by Convalescent Hospital for Children, will feature an hors d’oeuvres reception, three-course dinner by Chef Chris Coorts, premium wine and beer selections, and luxury raffle packages.

"I can’t think of a better way to kick off the Valentine’s season than by celebrating and supporting Stepping Stones," Patti Zesch, event chair and agency Board of Trustees member, said. "Its programs are life-changing for individuals with disabilities, encouraging independence and inclusion in an environment of genuine caring and trust."

Open Your Heart planning committee members are Debbie Alf, Indian Hill; Claire Elson, Pierce Township; Terri Hogan, Amberley Village; Mary McGraw, Indian Hill; Dina Taylor, Indian Hill; and Zesch, Indian Hill.

The hors d’oeuvres reception begins at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $185 per person (young professionals $140). Valet parking is included. Eddie Merlot’s is located at 1080 Montgomery Road.

Stepping Stones is a United Way partner agency serving more than 1,100 people with disabilities in day and overnight programs that increase independence and promote individual success. Founded in 1963, the agency provides educational, recreational and social programs at locations in Batavia, Indian Hill, Monfort Heights and Norwood.
