2019 Bourbon & BowTie Bash

2019 Bourbon & BowTie Bash

One of the biggest events of the year is set to open its doors on Saturday, Oct.19, at the Duke Energy Convention Center.

The Bourbon & BowTie Bash will celebrate its sixth year of mixing the best bourbon with the generosity of our community. The event includes bourbon, beer and wine tastings, light bites from local restaurants, live and silent auctions and a fashion show. Attendees have a great time with their friends and family while being charitable at the same time.

Leading the global movement for funding Type 1 diabetes research, JDRF strives towards a world free of this serious disease. With over 100 new diagnoses every day, T1D affects children and adults alike. JDRF is committed to funding research that will improve the lives for people at all ages and all stages of the disease.

"We hope to turn type one into ‘type none,’" says Melissa Newman, Southwest Ohio JDRF’s executive director. "Every dollar we put towards researching a cure comes from donations. The generosity of the people of Cincinnati still amazes me after every event.

"At last year’s Bourbon and BowTie Bash, we sold out at 2,000 tickets and raised over $300,000. Again, we are all so thankful that we have caring people in our community that want to put an end to this disease."
