The UAE has launched a pioneering initiative sending 50 Chief AI Officers from federal and local entities on a 10-day visit to leading U.S. technology companies, underscoring its ambition to cement its status as a global hub for AI and digital transformation.
Organized by the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office in collaboration with the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, the program includes meetings with executives from Google, Meta, OpenAI, Palantir, NVIDIA, IBM, Amazon, and Microsoft, as well as visits to innovation hubs and AI experts.
The delegation, led by Mohammed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services of the UAE Government, will exchange best practices, explore collaboration opportunities, and gain firsthand exposure to next-generation technologies. “The program enables the exchange of expertise, the development of innovative approaches, and the adoption of best practices that will positively impact the quality of government performance and services,” Mohammed bin Taliah said.
Minister of State for AI Omar Sultan Al Olama said the mission builds on the UAE’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, launched in 2017 under UAE Centennial 2071. “This visit represents an important milestone in advancing national efforts to strengthen the role of AI, accelerate the adoption of next-generation digital solutions, and forge strategic partnerships with the world’s leading technology companies,” he said.
