SoundHound AI Partners with Perplexity to Improve Its Voice AI Capabilities

SoundHound AI, the global leader in voice AI, recently announced a partnership with Perplexity, the conversational AI-powered answer engine. Through this collaboration, Perplexity’s online LLM capabilities will be integrated into the company’s voice assistant SoundHound Chat AI.

This move will bolster SoundHound’s AI product as an advanced voice assistant that utilizes hundreds of real-time domains as well as generative AI responses.

Further, Perplexity’s online LLM capabilities will enable the SoundHound Chat AI assistant to provide real-time, up-to-date responses to web-based queries, unlike static LLM responses. This enhancement expands the ability of the chat assistant to handle complex questions.

The assistant also utilizes a specially developed arbitration technology that uses a combination of software engineering and machine learning to intelligently select the most appropriate response, helping to minimize harmful “AI hallucinations.”
