The state of Mississippi has signed a landmark memorandum of understanding (MOU) with tech giant NVIDIA to accelerate AI education, workforce development, and economic growth through artificial intelligence integration across key sectors.
The collaboration aims to position Mississippi as a regional hub for AI-driven innovation, with a focus on agriculture, healthcare, energy, and defense. It includes initiatives to expand access to AI training, promote research collaboration, and support economic development, particularly in underserved and rural communities.
“This collaboration with NVIDIA is monumental for Mississippi,” said Governor Tate Reeves. “AI is here now, and it is here to stay. We are proud to partner with NVIDIA on this game-changing initiative.”
The agreement outlines several objectives, including
NVIDIA will provide tools and resources from its Deep Learning Institute, including expert guidance, teaching kits, and certification opportunities.
“This partnership will prepare students for high-tech jobs across Mississippi and help fuel the next wave of innovation,” said Louis Stewart, NVIDIA’s Head of Strategic Initiatives.
