Meta Launches GenAI Features for Ad Creation

Meta has launched enhanced generative AI features for advertisers, offering full image and text generation alongside additional tools to support business growth.

In a recent blog post, the company stated that with the image generation feature, advertisers can now create diverse image variations with text overlay capabilities, generate new backgrounds around product images, and expand images to fit various surfaces.

In addition to these features, the social media giant plans to provide text prompts for tailored creative variations in the coming months.

Coming to the text generation feature with generative AI, Meta informed users that it creates variations for ad headlines and primary text. The company is currently testing the generated text’s ability to reflect a brand’s voice, highlighting key selling points based on previous campaigns.  

Reportedly, the feature will be integrated with Meta Llama 3 and promises enhanced capabilities and performance. Meta further conveyed that it aims to roll out the advanced generative AI features globally by the end of the year.

The updated generative AI features and currently available creative enhancements will be available in Ads Manager through Advantage+ Creative, supporting businesses along the entire ad campaign creation journey.

In addition to enhanced generative AI capabilities, Meta has updated several Meta Advantage products that are ready to be used.
