LSEG has announced a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that will allow ChatGPT users and OpenAI enterprise customers to access its licensed financial data directly within the ChatGPT interface — marking a major expansion of the company’s ‘Everywhere AI’ strategy.
The phased rollout will begin with LSEG Financial Analytics, enabling users with licensed credentials to pull market data, analytics, and news into ChatGPT for deeper, faster financial insights. Additional datasets and capabilities will follow.
“LSEG’s connector within ChatGPT combines all the benefits of a secure, enterprise AI platform with a seamless MCP connection and the unparalleled depth, breadth, and quality of financial data, analytics, news, and commentary that LSEG provides,” said Emily Prince, Group Head of AI at LSEG.
The partnership also extends internally: 4,000 LSEG employees will gain access to ChatGPT Enterprise, allowing teams to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and improve productivity using OpenAI’s enterprise-grade environment. LSEG will work closely with OpenAI to support adoption of the latest frontier models.
“LSEG’s market data and analytics power decisions across global finance. Integrating that strength into ChatGPT makes it even easier for customers to ask complex questions and move quickly with confidence,” said Ashley Kramer, Head of Revenue at OpenAI.
The initiative is the latest step in LSEG’s push to scale AI across financial markets by pairing trusted, decades-deep proprietary datasets with modern AI platforms. It builds on LSEG’s growing ecosystem of partnerships, including collaborations with Microsoft, Claude, Snowflake, and Databricks.
