Khazna Unveils UAE’s “Largest” AI-Driven Data Center to Push Innovation

Khazna Data Centers, has announced the construction of “the largest” data center in the UAE to date. The 100MW, “AI-optimized” data center is set to strengthen Khazna’s position as an enabler of AI innovation and its commitment to fueling the digital economy for the AI Age.

The announcement was made by Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna, at Khazna’s stand at GITEX Global 2024, in the presence of H.E. Suhail Mohammed Al Mazroui, Minister of Energy & Infrastructure; and H.E. Yousif Al Ali, CEO of EtihadWE.

Khazna has begun construction on its new 100,000-square-meter facility, which will include 20 data halls, each with a capacity of 5 MW, and is expected to be completed within 15 months. The Tier 3 data center, the “first AI-focused facility” in the region, highlights UAE’s significant efforts to address the increasing power demands driven by AI.

With a multi-billion-dirham investment, the center is scheduled to be operational by Q3 2025, creating highly skilled AI-related jobs and strengthening the UAE’s position as a hub for business, AI, and innovation.
