Ikea Retail owner Ingka Group has entered into a global partnership with Partnership on AI (PAI), which is an international organization focused on shaping the future of AI in a way that benefits people, communities, and the environment. IKEA’s involvement in the initiative will help ensure that AI is developed and applied ethically, in tandem with values of inclusiveness, sustainability, and care for people and the planet.
Ingka Group has announced that IKEA will contribute to global conversations around the ethical use of AI through this partnership, helping ensure that the development of AI technology is aligned with human-centric values and societal needs.
Further, IKEA has started this journey with key initiatives, such as implementing a robust digital ethics framework across the company, focusing on responsible automation putting people first, and launching an AI and data literacy movement to educate its workforce.
