Google has announced Gemini Live, describing it as a mobile conversational experience to let users have “free-flowing” conversations with Gemini.

With the new voice mode for its AI model Gemini, the search giant claims that one can interrupt mid-response and change topics of discussion, just like regular conversations.

Another feature: Gemini Live is available hands-free, enabling users to carry on the conversation with Gemini even when the phone is locked. The service has been rolled out in English on the Google Gemini app for Android devices for Gemini Advanced subscribers at $19.99 per month.

Further, Google plans to roll out the service to iOS users in more languages and with 10 new voices.
