Taiwanese firm Foxconn Technology is constructing the world’s largest manufacturing plant in Mexico to assemble Nvidia’s GB200 superchips, a crucial element of the company’s upcoming Blackwell platform, stated senior executives from the company.
“We’re building the largest GB200 production facility on the planet,” said Benjamin Ting, Senior Vice President at the Cloud Enterprise Solutions Business Group of Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry.
Ting stressed the importance of the partnership between Foxconn and Nvidia, saying that everyone was asking for Nvidia’s Blackwell platform. Speaking to reporters, Foxconn chairman Liu Young-way said the new Mexico plant’s capacity would be “very, very enormous.”
Liu further noted that Foxconn’s supply chain is fully prepared for the AI revolution, with manufacturing capabilities that include cutting-edge liquid cooling and heat dissipation technologies required to support the GB200 server’s infrastructure.
