Deutsche Telekom has announced a new collaboration with OpenAI aimed at bringing advanced artificial intelligence capabilities to millions of users across Europe while equipping its workforce with enterprise-grade AI tools.
The partnership combines OpenAI’s frontier AI research with Deutsche Telekom’s global scale, which spans more than 261 million mobile customers worldwide. Together, the companies plan to introduce new, privacy-first AI experiences designed to help customers communicate, learn, and complete everyday tasks. These multilingual services are expected to begin rolling out in 2026.
Because hundreds of millions of people already use ChatGPT each week, Deutsche Telekom said many of its customers are familiar with how AI works, enabling faster adoption of new AI-powered products and services.
Internally, Deutsche Telekom will deploy ChatGPT Enterprise across the organization, providing employees with secure access to OpenAI’s most advanced tools. The move is intended to enhance customer service, streamline internal workflows, and accelerate innovation. The company also plans to deepen its use of AI in network operations and employee copilots as it works toward more autonomous, self-optimizing systems.
