Bosch is expanding its role in the autonomous mobility market through a new partnership with Kodiak AI, aimed at accelerating the industrial-scale production of self-driving truck hardware and sensors.
Announced at the CES trade show in Las Vegas, the collaboration positions Bosch as a key manufacturing and technology partner as Kodiak moves beyond pilot programs toward large-scale commercial deployment of autonomous trucks. The agreement reflects growing momentum in the freight sector, where predictable routes and clear economics are making autonomous operations more commercially viable than passenger mobility.
Under the partnership, Bosch will supply Kodiak with a portfolio of automotive-grade components, including advanced sensors and vehicle actuation systems such as steering technologies. Beyond component supply, Bosch will work closely with Kodiak to develop a production-ready, redundant autonomous platform that tightly integrates hardware, firmware, and software interfaces. This platform is designed to support the deployment of Kodiak’s AI-powered driving system either directly on factory production lines or through retrofitting existing trucks.
While financial terms were not disclosed, the collaboration underscores Bosch’s strategy to support scalable, safety-focused autonomous systems by combining its manufacturing expertise with AI-driven mobility platforms.
The partnership reinforces Bosch’s commitment to enabling production-grade autonomous mobility, particularly in freight, where near-term commercialization opportunities are becoming increasingly tangible.
