Dubai recently launched its “Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence,” aiming to boost the emirate's economic output by 100 billion dirhams and increase productivity by 50%.

A major highlight for this year’s Blueprint is the introduction of a Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) in every government entity. This move is part of a broader effort to adopt AI in enhancing governmental operations and services.

Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan stated that this initiative builds on Dubai's long-standing commitment to digital transformation, which began in 1999 and has positioned the emirate as a primary location for major global tech enterprises.

Additionally, the plan includes launching AI and Web3 incubators, initiating an AI-focused educational week, accelerating the setup of data centers, and introducing a new commercial license specifically for AI. These efforts are designed to attract top-tier AI companies and talent, further fostering a conducive environment for technological innovation.

This AI integration is expected to improve government efficiency, boost the economy, and enhance the quality of life, ensuring that Dubai remains at the forefront of technological adoption and economic development. The plan also includes periodic reviews to adapt to rapid technological changes, aiming to make Dubai the happiest and most future-ready city globally.
