Alibaba Cloud has launched its AI Global Competency Centre (AIGCC) in Singapore, a virtual innovation hub designed to support over 5,000 businesses and 100,000 developers worldwide in building next-generation artificial intelligence solutions.
Unveiled during the company’s global summit at the Shangri-La Hotel, the initiative marks a major milestone as Alibaba Cloud celebrates a decade of operations in Singapore — its international headquarters since inception.
The AIGCC aims to bring together more than 1,000 companies and startups across key industries including finance, healthcare, logistics, retail, and energy. Participants will gain access to advanced AI models, high-performance computing power, curated datasets, and tailored technical support.
“Singapore’s strong digital infrastructure, pro-innovation policies and deep talent pool make it the natural choice to lead the next phase of AI growth in the region,” the company said in a statement.
An integrated AI Innovation Lab will also offer token credits and personalised assistance, with entry granted to applicants who present relevant use cases. Interested parties can apply through Alibaba Cloud’s official channels.
