Adobe and LinkedIn have unveiled AI Essentials for Marketers, a global learning initiative designed to help marketing professionals develop practical AI skills as organizations increasingly adopt agentic AI and AI-powered marketing workflows.
The program aims to equip marketers with role-specific knowledge needed to navigate the shift toward AI-driven content creation, audience targeting, campaign development, analytics, and customer engagement. The announcement comes as demand for AI expertise continues to rise across the marketing industry.
According to LinkedIn Economic Graph data, AI literacy has become a top priority for marketers, with marketing job postings requiring AI-related skills increasing by 113% year over year. The companies said the initiative is designed to make AI education accessible through short-form, flexible learning experiences tailored for busy professionals.
The program will offer four role-based courses covering key marketing functions, including digital marketing, content and creative operations, social media and communications, and data analytics. The courses will be available free of charge through LinkedIn Learning and supported by additional content, practical exercises, and customer use cases through Adobe Experience League.
The initiative builds on Adobe’s broader investments in workforce development through Adobe Digital Academy and LinkedIn Learning’s extensive catalog of professional development courses, which includes more than 2,300 AI-focused programs.
Participants will gain access to expert insights, marketing research, and real-world case studies while earning certificates that can be displayed directly on their LinkedIn profiles. The courses will be offered in 47 languages, reflecting the companies’ goal of expanding AI literacy among marketing professionals worldwide.
The launch highlights a growing focus on AI upskilling, as businesses seek to prepare employees for a future where generative AI, agentic AI, and intelligent automation play an increasingly central role in marketing operations.
