Sarita Bakst is Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer at TD Bank Group, responsible for shaping and executing the Bank’s enterprise data strategy – establishing trusted data, governing how it is owned and managed, and building the scalable data foundations required to power impactful, enterprise-wide analytics and AI.
Since joining TD in 2024, she has focused on strengthening trusted data through enhanced data management and regulatory reporting, advancing AI-ready data, and accelerating the bank’s ability to deliver faster, more seamless, and trusted experiences for clients and colleagues.
Prior to TD, Bakst held senior leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and UBS, where she led global teams and delivered large-scale data transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on product adoption, client-centric design, and sustainable value creation.
Bakst is an active voice in the global data and AI community, contributing perspectives on data as a product and the data mesh, AI-ready data, and the evolving role of the Chief Data Officer. She is a frequent speaker and advisor across industry forums and has been recognized with multiple awards for her contributions to data and engineering leadership.
