Dr. Pargament specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face, including brow lifts and removal of excess upper eyelid skin and lower lid bags. His clinical interests also include correction of eyelid malpositions, thyroid eye disease treatment, reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and orbit (skin cancer reconstruction, orbital fractures) and tear drain surgery (watery eye). He is experienced in endoscopic minimally invasive techniques and believes in using a combination of non-surgical and surgical approaches for facial rejuvenation including neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), dermal fillers and fat transfer surgery.

“My fellowship did a fantastic job of training me to do all types of oculofacial plastic surgery; everything from severe facial trauma reconstructions to purely cosmetic face and necklifts. However, since moving to Cincinnati, I have chosen to focus solely on surgeries of the eyelid, eye socket and tear drain. I am especially interested in cosmetic eyelid surgery where I have found that a natural, conservative approach combined with the latest techniques yields outstanding results in patients with droopiness of the brow, excess skin of the upper eyelid and bags of the lower eyelids. I find satisfaction in knowing that I’m helping my patients find a renewed sense of confidence,” Dr. Pargament says. “When humans look at each other, we tend to focus on the eyes and periocular area. I have found that aesthetic procedures limited to the eyelids and brows have the benefits of shorter surgery times, faster recoveries, and result in significant improvements in aperson’s overall aesthetics and confidence.”

Beyond cosmetic surgery, Dr. Pargament also performs reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and eye socket for those battling cancer or grappling with disfiguration from an injury. He finds tremendous satisfaction in being able to give back to those who are facing difficult circumstances.

Additionally, Dr. Pargament is an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati and director of oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He has authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles. He enjoys investing in those who are just starting out in the field, and his position at the university allows him to stay up to date on the latest surgical techniques in his field.

He and his wife, Laura Hanson, a comprehensive and neuro-ophthalmologist at the Cincinnati Eye Institute, have a 2-year-old and a baby on the way. They are big fans of the city and, now that they have planted roots here, are planning to stick around for years to come.
