Tech talent acquisition is the resounding theme that continues to challenge organizations. With just over a month to go before college students return to campus, it's a great time to take stock of your summer interns and co-ops. Identify the ones that are a good culture fit, dependable and have a positive work ethic. Now, have a career discussion with them! Seek to understand their goals and interests. Perhaps they have a desire to learn more about supply chain or accounting. Create a networking introduction to introduce them to a leader in that department. Or share your career path decisions and obstacles that have been overcome. Students crave mentorship and this positive engagement will strengthen ties to your organization so they will return for full-time employment. This small investment in time will have a tremendous return in securing future talent.
