Director of Global Web and Mobile Experience at Vertiv

At Vertiv, we build products that keep critical technologies running 24/7.  We’re hiring a Global Director of Web and Mobile Experience in Columbus, Ohio (or remote) to drive and transform Vertiv’s worldwide eCommerce presence.  Looking for a UX strategist who began their career in design, research and development who embraces new technologies to serve as Vertiv’s webmaster.  Will help design and revamp Vertiv’s global web and mobile presence for B2C and B2B audiences. Primary responsibilities include:  web content, omnichannel, designing layout, streamline navigation and grow customer and channel partner presence. 


The mission is clear: make the number 1 destination for all Vertiv customers and brand it as the best place for industry knowledge and Vertiv Products.  They will be a key member of the Digital Customer Experience team for driving new platforms, search engine optimization and re-design for multiple global audiences in 15+ languages.  

Key Responsibilities

This role requires an ambitious website leader who wants to embark on a global digital transformation for  Seeking someone with a background in UX design and development who likes to roll up their sleeves and get things done.  Must be able to collaborate and work with multiple stakeholders across the company including Information Technology, Sales, Marketing and Engineering.  Will lead a 5 to 10-person global team of UX designers, analytics and web content coordinators.  

•  Lead the Web Reporting & Analytics team to provide the timely data insights, reporting and KPI achievement

•  Lead the UX team efforts to provide the next-generation designs that deliver user satisfaction 

•  Establish and execute KPIs and pivotal methodologies against strategic plans and objectives; subsequently devise and report business outcomes to regional and global executive teams

•  Build, nurture and sustain teams in regional hubs to deliver and accelerate quality solutions

•  Establish and execute KPIs and pivotal methodologies against strategic plans and objectives; subsequently devise and report business outcomes to regional and global executive teams

•  Close collaboration with Web Content global team to ensure content and layout support KPI achievement

•  Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people

•  Manage more than a $1 million budget and production schedules

•  Develop a UX research plan and objectives for a given digital product or service.

•   Plan, recruit, script, facilitate, collect, analyze, and document qualitative research data.

•   Review and synthesize quantitative research data.

•   Identify and articulate potential UX and usability issues and opportunities both verbally and through documentation.

•  Design and implement new technologies using UX web design and practices.  

Job Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, art, human factors, computer science and/or marketing

•  5+ years of UX strategy, design and development experience delivering digital customer experiences with a global enterprise company

•  Hands-on experience designing and developing online and mobile customer experiences

•  Prior people management experience or leading cross-functional teams, preferably of a global team in different regions

•  Tangible track record working both in the B2B and B2C space, digital agency experience a plus

Additional Qualifications

•  Versatile in various Go-to-market models eg direct, two tier channel and ecommerce, ideally with experience of establishing an online marketplace that supports revenue growth 

•  Familiarity with global web standards. Experience of involvement with UX-driven data insights programs leading to website redesign 

•  Knowledge of web analytics and interpretation of results to drive 

•  Strong competence in SEO to grow organic search by double-digit growth with an understanding of SEM interlocks to achieve inbound traffic goals 

•  Working knowledge of website management tools and new technologies 

•  Ability to generate creative ideas and present them to senior leadership with positive impact

•  Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills

•  Excellent understanding of content creation and writing skills for enhanced online presence

•  Advanced time management skills with the ability to multi-task

•  Team player with positive “Can‐do” attitude and enough charisma to lead without authority

•  Proven experience in successfully managing diverse teams at regional level balancing geographic, cultural and language needs

•  Strong customer and partner orientation, excellent business etiquette and an excellent work ethic to meet the highest standards of customer engagement
