Tarun Sood, American Century Investments CDO, Joins CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board

(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Tarun Sood to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Sood is the Chief Data Officer for American Century Investments. He oversees all aspects of data and analytics, enterprise data and analytics strategy, data management, data consumption, and data governance. 

Before joining ACI, Sood worked for Vanguard as the Head of Data and Analytics, overseeing the data transformation and managing an extensive data and analytics organization portfolio. He also managed business intelligence and analytics, data science, data and ML engineering, data governance, and data operations teams. Before joining Vanguard, Sood held leadership positions in various consulting firms, most recently with Deloitte Consulting. He was integral in developing and succeeding in large-scale data and analytics transformations at Vanguard and in consulting that directly impacted the development of solutions for clients. 

Throughout his career, Sood has been passionate about data and analytics, AIML, and enabling data and cloud transformations. He frequently speaks at conferences about these emerging complex topics. Sood is also an active member of several boards and data and analytics communities.

Sood received his bachelor’s degree in information technology from Drexel University and completed advanced management studies at Stanford University. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, focusing on statistics and econometrics. Sood is currently pursuing a doctorate in business from Drexel University.
