Artificial Intelligence Helps Colorectal Polyp Classification Trial

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Cheshire Medical Center are conducting a clinical study after developing an artificial intelligence tool utilizing retrospective data.

The researchers created the program, which employs artificial intelligence, to categorize the four common kinds of colorectal polyps removed during a colonoscopy screening. Their results were comparable to the same work done by pathologists.

According to the researchers, this demonstrates that their artificial intelligence model is reliable and could be used on a wide range of external datasets.
