
Wendy Batchelder is an award-winning technology executive, author, and board member with more than two decades of experience leading global data strategies, ethical AI implementations, and corporate governance. She is a three-time Chief Data & Analytics Officer across the healthcare, technology, and financial services industries. Most recently, she has held executive data leadership roles at Centene Corporation, Salesforce, VMware, and Wells Fargo. In each role, she has overseen enterprise-wide data strategy, transforming massive data ecosystems into secure, compliant, and AI-enabled environments. Her book, A Practical Approach to Building Trust in Data, addresses the business oriented view of enabling a high-trust and successful CDO journey.
Known for her risk-based, "trust-by-design" methodology, Batchelder specializes in dismantling data silos, engineering agile, product-aligned data teams, and mitigating algorithmic bias to ensure reliable data across complex operations. She is also a dedicated mentor who is passionate about developing the next generation of data leaders.
Beyond her executive leadership, Batchelder has a longstanding commitment to public service. She has served as a foster parent and devoted nearly two decades to volunteering and serving on the board of United Way of Central Iowa, reflecting her dedication to strengthening communities and expanding opportunities for underserved populations.
