Walk MS is a charity walk series that take place in over 550 locations with more than 330,000 people participating annually. Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, typically progressive disease involving damage to the sheaths of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It can cause problems with vision, balance, muscle control and other basic body functions. The effects are often different for everyone who has the disease.

Walk MS: Cincinnati took place on the perfect spring Saturday morning of April 23. Registration began at 8:30 and the walk started at 10:00 at beautiful Sawyer Point. Walk MS: Cincinnati 2016 encouraged teaming up with friends, loved ones and co-workers to change the world for everyone affected by MS. Walk MS: Cincinnati raised $270,000 in 2015 and hopes are high for 2016 to exceed that amount. The walking options included a one mile route, a three mile route and a five mile route. Brightly colored arrows and signs made these options clear and easy to follow. The MS Ohio Valley Chapter was the sponsor of the walk. There are over 6,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in the Ohio Valley. Together, those who participate in these walks become a powerful force. Together, we will end MS forever.
